Thelma L. Yeager, 85, formerly of New Brighton, passed away Friday, September 29, 2023, in Meadville.
Born January 14, 1938, in Wildwood, PA, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin and Mildred (Parks) Freeman. Thelma was a retired cafeteria supervisor for the Medical Center and drove school bus for RJ Rhodes Transit. She and her husband owned and operated the Yeager’s Greenhouse for many years. She was a member of the Red Hats and enjoyed diamond paintings. Thelma loved playing cards, trips to casinos and the horse track.
Surviving is her children, Ronald (Julie) Yeager, and Donna (Darrin) Furman, granddaughter, Shannon (Tim) Christie, great-grandson, Jameson, and sisters, Helen (Jack) Watson, and Joann (Don) Hought, and many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents she was predeceased by her husband, George A. Yeager Jr. and her son, Jeffrey A. Yeager.
Friends will be received Thursday from 3pm-6pm in the J&J Spratt Funeral Home, 1612 3rd Ave New Brighton, where a service will be held Friday at 11am, with Pastor Donald MacNeil officiating.
Interment will follow at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
