Thomas E. Maxwell II, 56, of New Brighton, PA, passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2022. He was born on April 28, 1966 the son of Thomas E. Maxwell of Chester, WV and the late Sylvia Mackall Strickler of Chester, WV.
Tom was a graduate of Monaca High School Class of 1984. In his earlier years, Tom enjoyed playing sports and would still fondly recall stories of his football days playing for the Monaca Indians. Tom was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed nothing more than the great outdoors. He loved spending time with his family, and taking his youngest son, Jordan, for hikes or an afternoon of fishing. Tom was a carpenter for much of his life. He spent hours tinkering around his daughter’s house helping her and her family to make their house the home it is today. His granddaughters loved to hunt for Morel mushrooms with him when the season was right, and they will greatly miss their “pappy”.
Tom is survived by his wife, Daryl (Stansfield) of New Brighton, PA; his children Jordan Maxwell of New Brighton, PA, Ashley Peternel (Jeffrey) of New Brighton, PA, and Matthew Dubas of Cape Coral, FL; his granddaughters Jaelyn and Audrey Peternel of New Brighton, PA; his sisters Marie Maxwell of San Diego, CA, Janet Strickler McDonald (Vince) of Monaca, PA, and Jeannette Strickler (Ray Mostowski) of Chester, WV; his sister-in-law Stacey Greco (Dave Cook) of Beaver Falls, PA; his brother-in-law Wayne Stansfield of Beaver Falls, PA; his niece Tiffany Strickler of Monaca, PA; his nephews Vincent McDonald of Monaca, PA, Michael Stansfield of Houston, TX, and Johnathan Campbell of Beaver Falls, PA; as well as countless family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Sylvia Mackall Stricker, and several loving grandparents.
