Vina Hopkins Obituary

Vina Ann Hopkins, 85, of New Brighton, passed away Friday, March 18, 2022, at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.

Born July 14, 1936, in Waynesburg, she was a daughter of the late Edna Jane Bane. Vina enjoyed watching The Andy Griffith Show and cheering for the Dallas Cowboys. She also loved Elvis, KISS, Ozzy Osborne, and country music. She was kind, loving, and a wonderful mother.

She is survived by her children, Tawnya (Jon Leksell) Lake, Terry and Tiffany Lake, grandchildren, Griffin and Kelly Lake, Trevor Lake, Nate Lake, Max Lake, Chloe Lake, Legion Lake, Jason Lake and Amber Lake, and two great-grandchildren, also numerous friends.

Along with her mother, Vina was preceded in death by two sons, Daniel Eugene Lake and Edwin “Pete” Lake Jr., and her first husband, Edwin Merle Lake Sr.

Per Vina’s wishes there will be no services.

The family would like to thank her friends at New Brighton Foodland, especially Mike and Ron Fischer, as well as her supportive friends at E.B. McNitt Apartments.
