William Clarence Murray, 85, of New Brighton, passed away in his home Tuesday, August 16, 2022, with his loving wife by his side.
Born April 24, 1937, in Beaver Falls, he was a son of the late William F. and Ethel Mae (Allison) Murray. Bill was a pump operator for Nova Chemical, retiring April 14, 1999, after 43 years. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving as a combat engineer, stationed in Germany. A member of Rochester Free Methodist Church and was active in God’s Choice. He volunteered for the Salvation Army. He loved fishing and talking.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Thompson) Murray, daughter, Sally Blasco, son, Joseph Murray, stepsons, John and Michael (Joyce) McBride, and numerous grandchildren.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by three sisters, Vaughnie “Toots” Schwartz, Eva Mae “Sis” Long, and Thelma Pogledich.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 10 until the time of service at 12, at the Rochester Free Methodist Church, with Pastor Chuck Thomas officiating.
Private interment will follow at Grove Cemetery, New Brighton.

Members of the Beaver County Special Unit are asked to meet at the church at 12:30pm to provide military honors for their comrade.
